After all we'd been through, I was not going to let our lives end this way - devoured by a wannabe Elvis god with a pillbox hat.
Oh Percy! How I have missed you!
Best thing about this short story? (It is super short!) You are instantly transported to the world of Persassy and you wonder how have you even survived till now without it! *sighs*
This story is a continuation of both Son of Sobek and Staff of Serapis. Here both duos, Percabeth and Carter Kane and his sister Sadie Kane meet to defeat the Setne who is merging both the Egyptian and Greek to become a God!
Honestly speaking I kinda sorta liked Setne. He had that cocky and sassiness that is usually missing from the different villains we have seen before. So yup, I did like him. He was adorable even with the taking over the world thing he had going on (Oh jeez, what does this say about my mental health, I don't even want to know!).
Looking at Sadie, I could imagine that someday I'd have a little girl who looked like Annabeth and acted like me - a cute little hellion of a demigod, stomping through puddles and flattening monsters with magic camels."
I don't want to write an extensive review for a short story, but ^^ this! This had me squealing and screaming like a crazed fangirl! Imagine! JUST IMAGINE ANNABETH AND PERCY'S LITTLE GIRL OR MAYBE A LITTLE BOY!!!!! EEEP!!!
I really really hope that Uncle Rick writes some epilogue about them!! Because now that he has whet my appetite, I NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THEIR PROGENY!!! UGGGHHHHHHH!!!
The only thing that i didn't like (leaving the short length of the story aside!) is that there was no mention of the rest of the seven! Just a passing mention of the battle with Gaia. That's it! I would have thought that Uncle Rick, might have given a hint, a single hint if Leo made back home :(
Because, do not lie, we all need that assurance!
Beyond this, this book showed how absolutely mature Percy had gotten. And absolutely adorable Annabeth and Percy are together. And how now, I can't think of Sadie as anything but Percabeth's future daughter and Carter as their weirdy awesome relative.
"We had just passed our one - year dating anniversary. I figured I was a sort of ling - term investment for her. She hoped I would pay dividends eventually; if I died now, she would've put up with all my annoying qualities for nothing."
