I enjoyed the story, and it was a good summer read. I wish there was a bit more grand character building, but I was able to build a good rapport with the characters. Very much a “Little Mermaid” vibe, but a lot more blood-thirsty! A good bit of the story was unpredictable, but there were a few plot twists that surprised me.
