Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
5.0
Isn't that cute?I know,right?
Wow!You go,Rainbow Rowell!
I cannot explain how this book made me feel.It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It was so beautiful that I could feel this book.I have one word to explain this book-"adorable".
I got this yesterday in my mail and started reading the moment I took out the bubble wrap.I saw John Green's review on the cover.I have to say I didn't get it though.I got this beautiful paperback edition and I have to say I love it way more than the original cover.Oh!and the book smells like magic!
Coming to the book,I loved every single thing about it.I love Eleanor and Park to pieces.Their characters are so awesome and weird, they remind me of myself and my friends.I read Fangirl few weeks ago and I felt annoyed with Cath at times(only like 2% of the story),I was annoyed with Eleanor at times, too but I understood her more than I did Cath and was able to empathize with her.(I think this is exactly what I wrote in my Fangirl review.Talk about repetition).I think Eleanor and Park did exactly what I wanted them to do.When Eleanor got too weird Park told her to stop.(Thank you,Park) and when Eleanor asked him something Park told her nothing but the truth.Huh,perfect guy, that one!Ilive in Asia,I wonder whether there Asian guys like this around.huh?
“Holding Eleanor's hand was like holding a butterfly. Or a heartbeat. Like holding something complete, and completely alive.”
If a guy talked like this about holding my hand.I would never let go for the rest of my life.A girl can dream, right?
I felt like some of the things in Fangirl where in Eleanor and Park, too.I'm not saying them out loud here because they are in some of the most important scenes of the book. But who am I to accuse Rainbow Rowell of repetition?I love her characters, her writing.I also loved the fact that it was written from both the characters point of view, not exactly, but you know what I meant, right?
Anywayt I loved this story.I know that I never talked anbything about the ending or the beginning of the story.I know,I don't wanna spoil this beautiful book.Everyone should read it!It's definitely one of my all time favourites. They even mentioned The Smiths and I knew exactly what they were talking about. Those are the little things that matter a lot when we read a book.Like Birdie Colvert said:
This is exactly what I felt about this book.
