Piper was my favorite the moment he was introduced in Book 1. I'm so glad that he was brought back for his romance with Galen. Galen and Piper assist gnole Earstripe on his quest to uncover the source of mysterious deaths up river, but it turns out Piper has secrets of his own he's been hiding.

I loved this book, and how it delves deeper into the mysteries of the world as a whole. It also ends with the best final sentence I've ever read. I cannot wait to read more of this series.
