I went into this book thinking I’m going to enjoy it way more than I did because I really enjoyed the movie but always thought that a lot of things were rushed or left unexplained. So I assumed the book would do it justice, unfortunately that wasn’t the case.

I think the world in this book needed a little more building and clarification but I also think it’s way better than some of the other dystopians I’ve read. I also really wished the author developed Ruby and Liam’s relationship way more than that so I’m hoping the second book does that.

I’m hoping Ruby gets some major character development in the second book because she can do so much more with what she is if she just learns to love herself.
