When I first got this book it wasn't the kind of book I thought I would enjoy. But once I got further into it, I found many similarities with myself and the characters. The first similarity I found was the sticky notes. I too put up sticky notes on my wall of little phrases and things I have done or would like to do. They are all scattered across my whole, and every now and again I add to it. As I got farther and farther into the book, I found myself not able to continue reading. Certain scenes and phrases in the book brought up old and or unnoticed moments with a certain person. Every time that would happen I just couldn't move on. Another reason why I couldn't find myself to finish the book was because I knew Finch would die. I just didn't want to lose a character that I loved. No I did not share all the experiences that finch had, but his uniqueness is what I related to the most. I cried when I was reading the ending of the book. Not at the instance when Violet found his body, but when she was continuing the wonderings and realizing that he had left clues for her to show that he was there. I feel that it is more sad when you are remembering the times you had with a person and how it made you feel, rather than seeing the person actually go.

All the Bright Places is a wonderful book that I would recommend to any one.
