Madness of the Horde King by Zoey Draven

5.0

This book was so good. I have absolutely loved the Horde King series, and this did not disappoint.
There’s mind control, there’s ghosts, there’s deadly secrets, there’s adventure, there’s steamy sex, there’s romance, there’s fighting, there’s aliens....what more could a girl ask for?
This series really immerses you in its world. The Dakkari have their own language that we learn bits and pieces of throughout the series. They have their own customs, and deities.
I’m so impressed. The amount of thought that went into making these people into a real society of alien beings reminds me of Tolkien, with its adventure, and new language, and hints of supernatural.
*swoon* I’m just in love. I never want the books to end. But I’m so satisfied with where they leave us.
I can not wait for another Vorakkar to find his Morakkari!!

I feel exactly as satisfied finishing this book as I did the first time I read it.
This series’ books continually get more emotionally intense as you read each one. Check TWs before diving into any of them, but definitely this one since it mentions SA regarding multiple people, and slavery and of course violence.
I love the ‘Mad Horde King’, he might be my favorite Vorakkar, though I don’t say that confidently since I love every one of them for different reasons.

So sweet and heart wrenching and so worth the read, every time.
