Fürchte das Licht by Stella Tack

3.0

I was really looking forward to book 2, but this part disappointed me.
A lot happened, but somehow nothing happened. The first half of the book dragged on endlessly.

Falco as a love interest is an absolute disaster. He has no depth and, above all, his actions are very shallow and also very selfish. He sleeps with Leaf and tells her in her face that he wants to marry someone else. With actions like that, he can go to hell. I also found the Spice scenes between the two of them unnecessary. Leaf also behaved like a weak teenage girl in love next to him.
I liked her character much more when Lore possessed her body.
Lore is one of my favourite characters and he comes up way too short in this part. That was also one of the points that particularly disappointed me.

Besides Lore, I have two other favourite characters: Crain and Zero. The team is just awesome, they stand behind Leaf, help her and have much better dialogues and moments than Falco with Leaf. Falco is just an annoying character.

The last chapters were very much in Stella's style, she drops the bombshell and leaves everything in ruins! And with a nasty cliffhanger!

Unfortunately I have to take a lot of points off because some things bothered me. This is a typical in-between book.

Nevertheless, I'm really excited about the trilogy's finale.
