This is the sci fi equivent of Summer Sisters - a book you are so embarrassed to be reading because it's so bad - somehow that makes it actually fun to talk about with both people who've read it and people who haven't ;)

Sort of like staying til closing at a hotel bar with ridiculous music, mediocre drinks, and staff who mix up the orders and drop stuff but everyone stays anyway bcs there's a rerun on the tv that is kinda funny only because you've seen it before - maybe something like Tremors .

I found the audio version laughably worse than the text and finally finished on kindle - what I really want to know is what happened to wheelchair guy, and the French family who were on vacation in NYC ?
