It was a nice story. It always kept you guessing what would happen next. The wording is correctly shown per the time period, and the gowns are correct as well. There was enough romance to give subtle hints to the ending. Foreshadowing played a major role in the book as well.

The only reason that I give it four stars, is that I just felt like something was missing. Maybe a further described characters or maybe for Rose's backstory to be more in-depth.
