Black Swan Rising by Carol Goodman, Lee Carroll
5.0
I loved this book. It's an urban fantasy, set in New York City. The main character, Garet, owns and Art Gallery and makes jewelry. She and her father run into financial trouble, and then she starts interacting with the fae and vampires, and learns about her own interesting family history. I really enjoyed that the heroine was an ordinary person, not a kick-ass martial arts police detective. And the secondary characters, most of whom were drawn from Shakespeare, were very interesting, especially their special talents. I also liked the central plot/mystery. The biggest problem that I had with the story, was that the romantic relationship, and depth of feelings, seemed a little too rushed to me. But I would still highly recommend it!
