The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman

4.0

Neil Gaiman explores childhood's dark fantasies and insights in this short novel that mirrors aspects of Gaiman's own childhood. You can feel his personal connection to the material, but this book just somehow fell short for me. I wanted more background on who our narrator was as an adult, and more buildup to the worst of the situation with Ursula Monkman.
