Did not finish book.
DNF @ Chapter 8 -- I actually skimmed from chapter 8 til the end, b/c I needed some answers, but this book was just not for me. I found the characters to be kind of dull, and too perfect...I needed more personality, and I just didn't buy the progression of Jessica and Alex's relationship -- it was super smooth and over the top and just not believable. Very insta-lovey.
On top of that, there was a lot of unnecessary detail in the everyday goings on of Jessica's life. It felt like I learned a lot of mundane information, when what I really wanted to know more of was the angel shiznit. Eventually we got more, but it never would have satisfied me if I'd truly read it all.
And I do believe I need to part ways with this author, b/c there's a very subtle judgeyness to her books, and I don't share those same beliefs, so the judgements bother me (sex before marriage, a prostitute should automatically go to hell, etc).
I'm truly sorry for the not as nice review...please remember that this is just how *I* feel, and won't necessarily be universal. To each their own!
