The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
3.5
It’s good, it’s obvious why a teenage audience would ride or die with this book. It’s short, written smoothly and easily digestible and has a relatable centre that doesn’t shy away from a resolute ending that’s neither sad nor overly optimistic. We are infinite is also a powerful line that hits where it needs to, details aren’t overly embellished. It was a beautiful book, I wish I’d have read it as the target demographic as a younger me would have related just as much if not more so - the message may have even benefit.
