i received an advanced copy thanks to NetGalley, which I'm very grateful for.
I think a lot of people will see themselves reflected in these words and poems as much as I did and i genuinely teared up a few times because it hit me deep with things I am struggling myself. I haven't read a lot of poetry books so I cannot really review this on a general knowledge of how poetry books work but i think it's unfair to say there is a general basis to them because poetry is great tool to express yourself freely and without being bound to something.
I usually do dislike modern pop culture and social media references in books and it's the only thing in this collection that irked me at first but in the end it was essential to what the author is expressing and people will relate to that too just as I did.
Trigger warnings include: suicidal thoughts/ideation, depression, anxiety, self-harm (i think)
