A Season for That: Lost and Found in the Other Southern France by Steve Hoffman

5.0

I loved this memoir because it truly transports the reader to a part of France that isn't written about and shares a candid reflection on who Hoffman wants to be as a father, partner and in his career. The book made me laugh and cry while also considering how I'm reaching out to my neighbors and ensuring I'm a part of my "village" and not simply an outsider looking in. It's extremely relatable and will have you wanting to cook more local food and pair it with a glass of wine! Although this takes place in France, you'll start to look at your own locale with new eyes and appreciate what's around you.
