The humor just didn't hit for me -- it felt like Irby was trying really hard to drag entertaining stories out of her relatively boring life. I wonder if her earlier books were better and she's run out of content? It felt like Irby gave herself writing prompts to get herself going and then never edited the pieces (for example: there's an entire chapter is a list where each sentence starts with "sure sex is fun, but..."). Several pieces relied heavily on timestamps to land the joke, which maybe wouldn't have annoyed me as much if I'd read this rather than listened to the audiobook.
