A secluded island. A stately house. Creepy goings-on. Obviously I needed to jump into Hemlock Island!
Laney owns Hemlock House, and rents it as an AirBnB to afford to keep it, and the island that it's on. She's used to damage as part of the rental process, but a phone call from the current renters is different than anything expected.
Blood on the walls, a hand in the ground, piece of scalp in a bed. Not normal wear and tear, to be sure.
This is my first Kelley Armstrong book, and it solidly kept my interest. I just wish the "reveal" had come sooner so I could have enjoyed it longer!
