I always find it hard to rate book one in a dulogy because you don't have the entire story and book one more often than not is world building and/or relationship building with book two leading into the plot.

That's the case here. This book focuses on Jodies relationship with the guys as she learns to trust them and grows closer to them.

In a world with an oppressive government, abused since a child and taught that omega a less than second rate citizens it's no wonder Josie had a tonne of trauma. The government has made it illegal for omega to masturbate, they must remain virgins, they're not allowed to drive, can't own a home or be on a lease and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

With the way that government, I was left wondering how would they view r/pe of an omega? Pretty sure the first two chapters of book 2 (because I couldn't end it there) gave me an insight. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't even be seen as a crime. That it would be the Alphas right and the omega would be blamed. Fucked I know.

The writing in this is great, you really get sucked into it. The relationship building is phenomenal and I love that Josie doesn't trust them or fall head over heals instantly. It is rather long, and they're constantly needing to reassure her because she's been told from a child that she's fat, undesirable, and defective. The thought plagues her to the point where it's almost exhaustive to read but it's also realistic. Something like that would infect your mind.
