The Pianist: The Extraordinary Story of One Man's Survival in Warsaw, 1939–45 by Władysław Szpilman
5.0
This must be the most raw and heart wrenching account of true World War Two events I have ever read. I had a hard time putting this book down and even when I did I thought a lot about what I'd read. Szpilman really captured the horrors of Warsaw and the feelings of the Jews in that time. It is truly incredible that he survived to tell about it.
