A quiet, tender novella. This is my second exposure to Claire Keegan and she really has a way of delivering a beautiful story with lovable characters in a short, concise package. Beautiful prose and written in a way that leaves things left unsaid and up to the reader’s interpretation. I enjoyed this story and felt empathy and love for the main character and the family that fostered her. I’m happy to have been introduced to Keegan’s work.
