I think this is definitely an interesting story, and has some good bones. But that's mostly what it is: bones of a story. Very heavy telling versus showing (which I'm not a huge fan of) and at times I felt like some scenes could have been expanded instead of just summarized and it would have made the story more engrossing. In a lot of ways this does have a lot of intrigue and multiple story lines came together in an interesting way. The characters are good but have a lot of reigned-in potential.

There is unfortunately a lot of formatting issues, editing mistakes, tense confusion, and repetitive sentencing that distracted from the work, as if it was a first draft that wasn't honed. Sometimes this happens with self-publishing, and I think if it had some polishing and given more attention to expanding of scenes it could have been a real winner for me.
