Between us girls, I was going to dnf this book. Why? Thank you for asking.
There was cheating/infidelity in the book
and that does not go over well under my regime. I was buddy reading so I couldn’t quit! Never back down, never give up!
And oh am I glad that I didn’t dnf this book. What a beautiful book full of complex characters. My heart hurt for them so much and I also wanted to hurl a glass at them at times.
Shout out to the author for writing such a moving work of fiction, shout out to the translator for capturing the essence of this book and to the narrator for bringing it to life.
I will not forget this one in a while.
