What a wonderful book to end 2022 on.
In the Acknowledgement, T.J. Klune talks about "honest queer stories" and this is exactly what this novel is. Honest, beautiful, and everything I wanted to read - with cats, magical creature, queer characters a bit older than the usual young adults (and who don't fit traditional beauty standards) and amazing kids.
Although this works perfectly as a stand-alone book, I would love to read more in this universe. In any case, I'll definitely explore Klune's other works in the meantime.
