Soy una tonta por quererte by Camila Sosa Villada
4.0
One of the main strengths of this book is the brilliant prose and the unique, powerful, and raw voice and tone that characterizes Sosa Villada's writing. In this short story collection, she continues to explore the themes covered in Bad Girls, with queer characters and specially Travesti main characters who are rejected, hurt, forced to hide and pushed aside but resist and embrace who they are. Sosa Villada does a fantastic job delivering more realistic and anecdotal stories but also, in the final stories of the collection, takes a detour into dark magical realism that in some cases could be considered horror in the line of Mariana EnrĂquez o Samanta Schweblin.
