Moonbound by Robin Sloan
4.0
This book was not what I expected. I don’t really know what I was expecting, though. The magic of Sloan’s previous books, I suppose. It was a fascinating book, but different than his previous ones. Those were more realistic but mysterious.
The characters in this book are fantastic and imaginative and somewhat zany. The story is so out of this world while also being an archetype of a hero with trials. It was a bit cerebral, but overall enjoyable read. I mean, who doesn’t love the idea of flying on the back of a giant moth with a speaking beaver?
