All the Sacrifice of Shadows by Hillary Raymer

4.5

This series keeps getting more interesting! I LOVED All the Chaos of Constellations, and it remains a favorite. However, Raymer definitely upped the drama factor in All the Sacrifice of Shadows. The rebellion and its mystery continues to grow more worrisome. The corrupt chaos of Backroth is also thrown in to add extra drama to this loaded plot.
And let us not forget the spice 🥵 That definitely increased with this book. Cres and Drake are very much into public displays of affection, and their relationship has a distinctly darker vibe to it than Asher and Nova’s did in ATCOC. Their relationship also is a little bit instalove, but such is the nature of mates. Creslyn was a bit tough to love at times. She went back and forth between “I’m tough” and “Save me” which is -ironically- pointed out by Drake at one point. She does grow throughout the story and comes into her own style of powerful badassery though, which I love.
Overall, I loved the story, and I cannot wait to see the next couple and how the political unrest continues to develop.
