Everything becomes a bit more tense - the Sloth actually finished its tunnel, Von Hohenheim meets Pride, and declares war to the original homunculus, Ed is having a near-death experience and the rest of the group (Scar, Al, and the rest) are being betrayed by someone they once forgiven. It's the sort of anxiety inducing tension that is very well built, and I love it.
