Winnie Takes Paris by Lane Hayes
3.5
3.5 stars
Nice story of two complete opposite men who fall in love.
Winnie is a sunshine, fabulous, easygoing and young while professor Alistair is oblivious, distracted and completely immersed in his own work.
Winnie accepts a temporary job from his best friend's Raine (Falling for Raine) as the professor's assistant during a conference in Paris: i order to lessen the professor's stress due to his constant working, he drags him all over the city and the countryside, spending time together and getting to know each other.
I liked how their story evolved, it was lovely to see Alistair enjoys different things and having fun with Winnie.
What prevented me from giving a higher rate:
Too many facts about Ancient Egypt and about Paris.
Alistair being too much of a pushover with Colin and Gerard. who took advantage of him for years.
Unnecessary drama towards the end.
I liked both MCs and there were a lot of funny situations that I liked, but the story left me unsure about Winnie and Alistair being right for each other.
I received an ARC of this book from Gay Romance Reviews and this is my honest review.
