I’m getting better 🥴
As per usual, I hopped into a book that I had little to no knowledge about, then at about 20-25% I read the synopsis because I was still like mkaaayyyy slow n steady still not like gung ho for the story. And then finally some sort of mob thing was happening and a medium and I’m just like ugh I hate this isn’t working for me but that is ok because someone else has loved it!

So I will say I really enjoyed the Malaysian setting and the medium concept. But that was probably it. Ah Ma was hilarious for the moments she was there. Jess was questionably annoying. I kept thinking she was younger than she was because of her actions and internal thoughts, idk this just didn’t really do it for me and that’s ok!

Would still give it like 2 ⭐️ for what I did enjoy but just not enough to care to finish.
