Similar to my experience with the Just Like Home by Sarah Gailey, this is simply too long and I feel it would've been much better if it was a novella lenght. At some point the structure felt too repetitive and not even the disturbing nightmare sequences helped. But it was a tense novel, a dysfunctional family relationship dynamic was interesting to follow, and the backstory mystery engaging enough to keep me going.
