”it’s torture being this close to her. wanting her but knowing i can’t have her.“
the single dad x nanny trope will never not get me, i swear.
sabrina was such a fun character, and the way she cared for maddie immediately made my heart melt. she had dreams of becoming a teacher, and was able to teach maddie on the road while traveling for noah’s tennis games. i appreciate that she didn’t put her life on hold just because she fell for noah, and actually found that what she thought she wanted could be done in a different way. honestly, i think i would’ve been heartbroken if they did a long distance thing because all three of them would be unhappy in the end.
noah appeared grumpy and standoffish on the outside, but was a total teddy bear when it came to his daughter. she was the most important thing to him until sabrina came into the picture, and now they both hold that title. it’s obvious fron the way that he spoiled sabrina that one of his love languages is gift giving, even though sabrina insisted that she didn’t need material things (if he wanted to, he would).
maddie was so cute and sweet! she was so funny and way too smart for her own good, especially during a game of truth or dare when she played matchmaker for noah and sabrina.
this was such a fun read! thank you to valentine pr and the author for the e-arc! 💝
