god this series fucks!!! there are a lot of things that stopped it from being truly incredible for me, but so beautifully written and there’s so much love put into it. n.k. jemisin is a pioneer of fantasy and this being her first ever trilogy speaks volumes for her talent. absolutely loved this book and cannot wait to read more of jemisin’s incredible body of work
