2017 - Just reread this for the fourth time, this time via audiobook! The narrator isn't great, but hey, it gets the job done! I still find some things hard to believe, like how Chaol is the captain of the king's guard and is only 22 AND that he's never killed anyone before and has this role??? That makes no sense and this book sure as hell isn't perfect, but I love this series to death.

2015 - I AM SO GLAD I REREAD THIS. The first time I read it, I don't think I was in the right mindset and I remember thinking it wasn't as great as everybody was making it out to be, but after reading it this time around, HOLY MOLEY I AM SO OBSESSED. I loved every single moment of it and I am soooooo excited to keep reading!
