Probably the easiest read ever. And I don't mean that in a negative way. I'm happy I've never seen the film before reading the book because I think I would have thought it too cliché... Which it is, in a way, but the different perspectives and the writing style completely make up for it, and I don't know if I would have felt that way if I just saw the film.
It's funny, it's sad, it's hopeful and there's a dog (two dogs!). Recipe for five stars.
