Enjoyed this book but to be honest, I felt like it was far too similar to Verity (Colleen Hoover) and Don’t Let Her Stay (Nicola Sanders), so that took away from it for me. I loved both of those books but I don’t want every thriller to feel like it has the same characters and similar plot and twists. This story just wasn’t original enough to have any lasting impact which I usually hope for when I read a thriller. But an entertaining read all the same, I read it in just 2 sittings.
I’ve heard The Housemaid’s Secret is better in that it has a lot more twists, so I will read that, and hopefully I’ll enjoy it more! Still would recommend this book as I think it would have stood out to me more had I not read Verity and/or Don’t Let Her Stay already!
