A surreal read, I was quite compelled. Loved the collab with Renters United, and the experience of reading an illustrated newsprint copy.

On the ending -
I quite liked the postscript, but not the overview of how the politics unfolded in the years after the events of the novel. Can’t quite describe why - felt a bit too short and sweet - I wanted to stew a bit more in the mess and the emotional impact of the rat-killing scene, & leave some more ambiguity.

Going to send a copy to my sibling to read, I think they’d love it.
