Angel Falls is an older Kristin Hannah and it’s not the best. Our main character, Mikayla, falls off her horse and goes into a coma for a month. Her family does everything the can to reach her, including reaching out to her estranged ex-husband. It’s bleak.
Weird thing that bothered me - the son, Bret, is supposed to be 9, but is infantilized. His actions and language were more like a pre schooler. The family also calls him “Bretster” constantly and nick names in books just drive me crazy.

Minor: Injury/Injury detail
A main character is in a coma most of the book.
