I decided to pick this up because of the adaption with Ella Purnell and let me tell you she’s taken me to places I would NOT go willingly.

I did enjoy the book at the beginning, but as it progressed the borderline misogynistic humour and Rhiannon’s sadistic nature felt forced. It’s like shock value was the key feature to writing this novel, rather than creating a somewhat believable character.

I’m also mad the ending is a cliff hanger because I did not want to read the sequel.
