I wound up skimming most of this. I was just bored, not only because I'm not as familiar with the other Mackenzie couples as I am with Ian and Beth, but also because there was a lot of info-dump exposition throughout the story in an attempt to catch readers up on past events if they hadn't read the other books. That kind of telling-not-showing stuff is a snooze to me. Oh well...I liked the Ian/Beth parts pretty well, at least!
