The Shuddering by Ania Ahlborn

4.0

Twins, Jane and Ryan, along with friends Lauren, Sawyer, and his plus one, April travel out to the Adler twins' family cabin for one last hurrah before Ryan moves overseas and the cabin which holds so many memories is sold by the father neither of them can stand. The trip starts out a bit rocky as old feelings resurface, then clash with current responsibilities, and end in terrifying monsters terrorizing the group.

The Shuddering was a fantastic read and a great one to kickstart the new year out with. Now I have another reason to hate the snow! The conflict and character development were exciting, along with the monsters that I was impatiently waiting for our main characters to encounter. Ania definitely created characters that you wanted to root for, characters that drove me crazy but also somewhat understood/related to.
