Protect Me Not by Danielle Keil
2.0
eh. the story itself was good, but the Disney tie-ins were so cheesy to me. this would have been a lot better if all the fairytale stuff was ditched and it was just a story on its own. or if the stuff was way more subtle about it. The characters actually say direct song lyrics.
There was a literal gang of bullies that called themselves the Wolves and went around actually howling.
An entire scene is missing. Adam tells her father that he did meet with his own father in person a few days before. This never happened in the book. I even went back and searched for it, thinking I missed a chapter. How could such a huge event just not even be mentioned??
The characters were all pretty flat and unrealistic.
Overall, it was better than a DNF, but I'm glad it was free.
