Ashes of You is the final book in the Lost & Found series. We follow Lawson and Hallie. Hallie showed up in Cedar Ridge hoping to fill Lawson's open nanny position. The thing neither knows they met five years ago, at the hardest time in Hallie's life. Neither ever saw each other again, but they both always thought of each other. Lawson was her rescuer. Lawson can see she is a caring person, who would be perfect for helping his sons out. Hallie feels safe with Lawson and his crew, something she hasn't always felt since her abduction. She trusts them, she trusts him. When abductions and murders start reoccurring that are eerily similar to the one that happened to Hallie five years ago, Lawson worries he's on a time crunch to find the killer before he hits too close to home. All the while, Hallie is finding her way into his family and heart and he must decide if he can let his feelings take control.

Catherine Cowles has done it again with another heartfelt, emotional novel. I loved watching how strong Hallie was and how she developed a relationship with each boy, healing her in some way. Lawson was so protective and I loved how their relationship developed in such a natural, slow-burn way. Lawson is so kind and patient with her and he allows her to feel beautiful and seen for the first time in five years. This was a beautiful love story that was full of so many emotions.

As with all of Catherine's books, I loved to see the found family Hallie had and this core group of people we have seen throughout the series be interwoven throughout. I was so excited to see the epilogue as well as get a peak at what will be coming next from the author!

If you love an age-gap, nanny novel with two people who have come up against pain in their life, but want to heal, this is the book for you. Catherine Cowles created an amazing world in this series and I am sad to move on. I look forward to more to come from here. Thank you to the author for a copy of this book. All opinions are 100% mine.
