3rd Degree by Andrew R. Patterson
3.0
These Patterson thrillers are the equivalent to watching another series of 24 - events bounce quickly from one to another, drawing in the involvement of agencies from all over the States, and each minor victory is followed by another twist of the villain’s knife. The reader is given some scenes from the antagonist’s viewpoint, yet there’s always more to it than we are allowed to see.
I do wish it was all written in the third person instead of swapping back to the main character’s POV for about 50% of each book. It’s strange for us to have to settle into her first person narrative then be pushed back out of it to see behind the scenes of the other characters.
