Our Little Secret: The True Story of a Teenage Killer and the Silence of a Small New England Town by Kevin Flynn, Rebecca Lavoie
slow-paced
2.0
I listened to this on audible and I don’t recommend that. Problem with this book is that the victim was, well to put it mildly, unsympathetic. Yes, I believe that he was a molester and violent. It could have been interesting if it had explored that more - how both were victims and perpetrators. It touched on it but then spent time trying to make us sympathetic to Danny through his brother tirelessly calling year after year for an update. But I just don't feel sorry for a violent molester. I am sympathetic to his victim. As for the boyfriend shooter? Yes, he should have been prosecuted and gone to jail. I just think the so-called victim also should have been prosecuted and jailed. Then maybe none of this would have happened. Plus, it was just not a well written book.
