Defy Me by Tahereh Mafi

⚠️ Look Away! ⚠️

I ended up loving Defy Me just as much as I had ended up disliking Restore Me. Right now, I’m so happy with the book that I think I’m going to roll down and just cry. IT WAS PERFECT! It had the perfect amount of suspense, mystery, sadness, happiness and romance, so much so that I had to stop between chapters to sink them all in.

I loved how each of the characters developed themselves beautifully; I loved how they changed into the better version of themselves; I loved how Aaron and Ella got back together - I basically loved everything in Defy Me!

I couldn’t get a lot of Kenji and Nazeera in this book, though. And I really wished for more details on their relationship.

I’ve seen a lot of readers who just couldn’t like this book – some even said they wished the series ended with Ignite Me. So I sat for a while and I thought. If I had been asked if I wished this series ended when I finished Restore Me, I would’ve said yes. But Defy Me changed my whole perspective, this book made me want read more and I genuinely have no complains.

So 5 out of 5 stars – for making me happy! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
