This was disappointing. Such a great concept for a story - with a castle that grew new rooms at whim, but this story was ruined by the sexism.  I had planned to pass this on to my nieces and nephews but won't as I don't like the subtle but frequent messages throughout about the 11yr old heroine not being "ladylike".
