With all the horror books and stories and movies that I’ve consumed, it’s always a pleasant surprise when an author writes a story about something that is completely new to me. I’ve been wracking my brain trying to think of what other story I’ve read with apples being the object of malice and none come to mind! And of course Wendig would be the author to come up with something fresh and original to titillate my reading taste buds. It took a bit for me to get into the story but once it got going I was fully hooked and invested in the story and the evil and the characters. The ending was bloody brilliant too, Wendig knows how to write one heck of an ending! Actually, he just knows how to write one heck of a story period.
