I keep coming back to this book, enjoying it every single time I read it. Why do I keep coming back? Because it is a beautiful narrative about one of the most mysterious peoples, places, and events in New Kingdom Egypt. It is marvellously written and I just can’t help but love it all. It was this book that helped me branch into Egyptology, along with “The Heretic Queen”.
