Just Friends by Saxon James
5.0
I really wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I did!
I listened to the audiobook as Saxon James was recommended to me a couple of people and I’m so glad I chose this as my intro to their books!
Royce and Tanner are really great main characters. I fell in love with both of them from the very start. I loved the way the dual pov and their inner monologues explain their differences and similarities and their growing relationship.
The overall story is a pretty familiar best friends to lovers, but I feel like Royce and Tanner’s backstory and strong characters really elevate it and kind of refreshed the trope for me a bit.
The spice in this pretty flawless and I love the way it’s balanced out by tender and emotional moments.
I also think both narrators did a great job at bringing all the characters to life!
